Default Clutch questions

I'm pretty sure my clutch has to be replaced. My main question is, I know the first few months of production (until 02/04) used a different flywheel from later cars. The clutch kits I see for ~$400, will they work with either style flywheel?

My car is very early production, so it should have the solid flywheel. I don't want to order one of these kits, get the transmission off, and find out it's not the right one.

Also, is there any chance my problem is simpler? The clutch pedal feels fine, the fluid level is good, but the clutch just doesn't fully release. With the clutch pushed down, the car still pulls forward in gear and it's difficult/impossible to shift when the engine running.

Thanks,

Default Re: Clutch questions

Release bearing maybe? But if you're going to drop the transmission for any reason you might as well replace the clutch while you're at it.
