Default R2 Performance Package

Has anyone with a crossfire, c320, slk320, e320, or clk320 gone through with this mod

R2 Performance Package for C 320 (W203- 262 HP / 294 TQ) | RENNTECH MERCEDES

With the current prices of crossfires on the used market, I'm surprised no one has jumped on this 3.8 conversion. Its no turbo kit, but still, its a start

i've been wondering about that 3.8 for a long time. I have read that it wouldn't be too difficult to get ours to 3.7, though well beyond my ability and disposable income

I cannot touch $10k, but for $20k you can have a 500+ whp Crossfire that trapped 156mph in the 1/2 miles and should be in the 10's in the 1/4 (will know on Sunday).

Byron Dragway in Byron, Il Doc. The real treat will be my buddy Dave's Supra... it should be in the 8s.

$10k for a 50 HP increase is insane. You can pretty close to that for far less.

Most here agree that on an N/A :
CAI ( single or dual ) + 74mm TB + EuroCharged tune will just about get you that for < $1000

I know the needswings package is 15k. I was told 100 increase hp. I thought that was expensive. I am starting to save now maybe I will hit the lottery.

Yes, you can get close to that 260hp mark on a 3.2L NA but the point is that starting with a 3.8 and adding those mods would hopefully get you above 300hp.. though, again, for $10k, it hardly seems worth it...

i've read that you can swap in a 3.7 fairly easily or possibly bore our motor to 3.7.. either option might be less than $10k?

I don't think Brian is selling anything, just saying he has $20K into his completely wild one off turbo SRT that is very fast...

Correct me if I am wrong.

As I see guys, if we start with $10,000 price tag we have to factor in that the renntech airbox alone for the m112/m113 is almost $2000
lets say you asked renntech to forgo the airbox, that brings the price down to $8000 (which i think is fair for parts, labor, installation, and any warranty they place on the motor/drive-train after the modifications)

Combined with a second hand needswings, intake, and eurocharge tune (during their special). That would be a little N/A beast

Then you have to worry about the manual tranny holding up, and if you have an auto, why not just buy an SRT for a few thousand more than your modding budget?

If I had 10K for my project. The car might be done running perfectly stock with the 8. The diff built up. A custom DMF and a SPEC clutch. And probably a tune.

Or for like 2-3k more, I would have the 5.4L amg beast swapped in.
