Default SRT6 family need help.

whats going on srt6 family..sadly i do need some advice with what to choose and if anyone could help me. let me apologize before hand if anything i am about to ask is stupid, i just really dont know the answers or what to do. Before adding a cold intake system should i do something first to the srt6? or is it ok to add that to a factory srt6? also from needswings if i do choose the intake is there really a big difference between the teflon velocity coated dual intake and the thermal coated dual intake? again i am sorry for the dumbs questions but i read the descriptions and could not get anything. is a dual intake system worth it? or should the single one do? one last thing until next time lol. i dont know what might be causing this but if anything could tell me that would be great when my car is in park and running sometimes my car will begin to shake back and forth noticeable. idk if its the spark plugs misfire or what but after i drive it and turn it off and then wait about 15mins later to turn it back on. while its on and i am in the car i notice the car literaly moving side to side like its shaking like its "cold" haha. let me know please. private message me if you want.

Welcome to the site Mendezfa. It could be a few things, and it would be helpful to know a little history of your vehicle. How many miles? Are you the original owner, or do you know what maintenance and or modifications have been done on it? Our cars are now almost 10 years old, so eliminating any recent repairs or general maintanance will help w/ a cyberspace diagnosis. Do you have a check engine light on? Can you get codes read and report them back here. I didn't mean to disregard your question on the intake, but you need to remedy the driveability issue first.

Yes the intake is worth it ,I wish I had gotten the thermal coated one . I have the duel on my V8 and love it.

an engine is a air pump and the V8 and your V6 does not get enough air in, until you add a good intake the exhaust is good as i am running my srt 6 muffler with my V8. with the intake i suggest you add a pully and a tune. jim

Sounds great! It has 69742 miles and i am the second owner. i received the car when it had 50000 miles on it. it was a clean title and car fax with no repairs. once i had it though i had a head gasket seal loose i believe it was. that was the only repair so far. at the dealership they gave the car a tune up and sealed the left gasket bc it was leaking oil. there were no modifications when i got the vehicle. all i have done so far is add k&n air filters -_- lol yes that all....haha. would like to add more but don't know what or how. or even where to go to get aftermarket parts installed.

I was noticing that You really never responded to Dinasrt's statement's.

You have an Issue a CAI will not fix. You should stop discussing CAI's and other mods and fix Your Car bro. I'm gong to jump in with Motormount. As I recall if the motor mount breaks She shimmies and shakes. There are some easy tests to do that will eliminate this very serious issue.

Look up broken motormounts.

a single cai will work but a dual is a little better rough idle is usually a crankshaft position sensor about to go bad I doubt it was a head gasket leaking more like valve cover gasket anyway this is where I would start I apologize for my 1 finger left handed typing had shoulder surgery today lol

Thanks a lot for the advice. you are right and that is what i was planning on doing first is fixing the problems before adding any modifications. ill look into the motomount and if you dont mind will let you know if that was the problem thanks.

Lol no problem! i 100 percent understand i had thumb surgery multiple times haha, and you know what thats funny that you say that bc i hooked up a code reader to the crossfire and it gave me crankshaft sensor was the problem just like your saying. so that must be it. do you know if i buy the sensor is it something that anyone even i can install or has to be dealership or mechanic shop?
