Which exhaust setup
Hey guys I would like a loud and beefier sounding exhaust. I currently have a 04 coupe limited and I was originally leaning towards the obx since it copy's borla but is half the price but then learned that the magnaflow is louder and more deeper sounding but on the down side has a drone now I am reading of a ansa or Megan muffler with or without rear cats deletes because n/a doesn't have resonators from what I've read. My question is I quess is what exhaust is the loudest/deepest/beffiest sounding. If it is a close tie what will have the least drone. And what so you recommend with the rear car delete? Do it or waste of money? And also does it create less or more drone with exhaust set ups. Thank you!
The OBX option is pretty well the cheapest, great sounding, droneless exhaust available. The sound is very close to the `rear cats delete`option.

If you want loud you won't be happy with the OBX - it's barely louder than stock. The Magnaflow sounds awesome but there is a drone, though you can shift around it if you have a 6-speed. I had the Magnaflow for a while but I'm running the OBX now....pity there a isn't something in between as the Magnaflow is a little too loud for me but the OBX is too quiet. I have a Magnaflow 16633 for sale if you want it.

You have to google maxi performance crossfire exhaust...IT HAS TO BE THE GREATEST SOUND IVE EVER HEARD...out of a V6 lol seriously look it up only problem is they are from the netherlands and their sight is in jibberish but they will email you in english and they told me its 400€ shipped which is like 540$ I think its worth listening to the video though only takes 30 secs
If you want the Magnaflow sound without the drone, just throw a X-pipe in place of the rear cats. I did that on my SRT with the resonator intact and the muffler deleted and it sounds awesome! No drone at all but punch it and WOW!
Magnaflow Cat-Back (Part 16633)
Just installed this on my car last week
Simple bolt on design with no welding or cutting pipes.
Installs easily using the OEM hangers already on you car

I also went the magnaflow route looking for a loud/aggressive sound. Definately an improvement over stock, but there is a drone consequence.
Although better, it still didn't have that bark I was after.
I (finally) found an exhaust shop willing to remove my rear cats. I had them add flanges to the straight pipes that replaced the cats so that I can easily swap the cats back in if/when needed for emissions inspection and testing.
Removing the cats gave me the sharp sound I was after, and under load/hard accel I SWEAR she sounds Ferrari-esque. Awesome sound! Removing the cats mitigated some, but not all, of the drone. As previously mentioned, adding an X pipe may further reduce drone.
Depending on your area you may have difficulty finding a shop to remove the cats. It is illegal in all 50 states (Federal law) to tamper with any emissions equipment so many places won't touch 'em.
I convinced a small one man shop to make my inserts by assuring him I wanted the pipes for track use only, and after fabbing them up he put them in the trunk and sent me on my way with my cats re-installed.
I swapped them back out when I got home in 15 minutes, easy-peasy with the flanges he built in.
Everything can be returned to stock with hand tools, and the cost (with the magnaflows) is reasonable.
