Default Pie in the sky question

Has anyone installed a supercharger on their Base or Ltd. coupe that has a 6-speed?

I'm sure the ECU would be less then comfortable with the idea, but I'm thinking a small one that would bring the HP up to 'around' 260hp or less.

If one could use a pigy-back (believe that is the correct term) program that could be adapted to the stock ECU along with - where needed - upping the fuel pressure, injectors, and working out what is needed regarding ignition and knock, perhaps it could be done?

Of course, of course the obvious answer will be to just buy a SRT6 - except I would want to keep my 6-speed (as mentioned) and as silly as it sounds my appearing/disappearing rear spoiler. + I always wanted a car with a supercharger and to be frank, the SRT6 would be a bit much for me.

I'm doubting much anyone will be interested in this idea, along with my never doing it, even if it is 'reasonably' feasible. But when XF's came out and I would see a particular black one parked not too far from my shop/home, it never occurred to me I'd have one of my own.

Don't take this wrong but, with 48 posts, you haven't seen nor heard of any discussions about supercharging or turbo charging these cars? I won't even go there, but the answer is a few have done it, it wasn't cheap nor easy, and yes, buying an SRT6 is easier.... There are a host of threads on the topic...

Well, I don't think he wanted to know how to do a v-8 swap, but that is a way to get more HP for sure...I can't find the thread on the only supercharged N/A but I am looking...

I am thinking Web3.0 had the only successful supercharged NA....I can think of, and it took him a very long time to work thru it...might search for threads he started...

Default Pie in the sky question

I apologize for not going to search first. On most of my posts I've gone to search first and frequently there are mentions of what I'm looking for but no real answers. In this case, I figured it was most likely an either/or situation. You want a supercharged XF? Buy a SRT6.

I'll let my fingers do the walking from now on regarding this subject.

Well, it has been a hot topic in the past, lol. Anyway, just go to the search feature, and punch in web 3.0 supercharger and you should find it in the engine and exhaust topics...it a long read...or go to the begi read, and you will be there for days... I believe there is going to be a movie made, or is that a soap opera? Good luck on your search. And again, not a problem, just a little surprised you missed all that fun.

I've looked at the Kleeman kits and they're about $10K just for the kit, install is going to be a pretty penny too.
