Default alright guys fuel injector question

i just ordered some 19 lb fuel injectors because the stock ones are 17lb so i thought i would give her a little more at wot anyways my question is when i remove the fuel rail i read in the service manual it says there are fuel injector retaining clips but it looks as if they retain the injectors to the fuel rail and not the engine so if that is the case i can just pull up on the fuel rail after i remove the bolt correct?

Before pulling the injectors i would make sure to clear any dirt or debris from around the injectors. Then I'd use a little wd40 at each injector to lubricate the o-rings and then rock the fuel rail assemblies back and forth until they come free

Just tossing in .02 here.. A member replaced/upgraded his with Bosch brand.. and his car puked on them after a while .. Seems they didn't hold up and he ended up with his OEM's back in.. This was on an SRT6.

You have an NA. They are overkill I would have thought. Save your money.

You don't need injectors IMO but to answer the question, the clips align and hold the injectors to the rail. Pull up on the rail and they come out with it.

I don't know if anyone will want your injectors. I purchased some used injectors for my car, (stock 2005 blacks) had them serviced, installed them and found my stock 2006 ones to be blue. So, I used the blacks until the blues were cleaned and balanced and switched them out. I put the blacks up for sale for the price I paid to service them. Not what I paid for them or the sum of both. For the price of having them cleaned and balanced no one even made an offer. You may have better luck but I wouldn't put a penny into making them more attractive to a buyer.

I thought there were no gains to be found from bigger injectors for the N/A. This is interesting. Might look into some for my car. Where did u get the injectors? Are they new or remanufactured?
