Default Wavetrac installation

Hi everyone,

I am trying to find information on installing a wavetrac. I see many members here have one but I cannot locate any details on the install. Even searching online for R170 or SLK320 doesn't yield specifics. I have read through the service manual but it doesn't talk about backlash or shims. Any insight?

Thanks!

The WaveTrac unit needs to be professionally installed into your EDITED differential. This is the contact information for the WaveTrac expert . . .

Thanks, I will call them but the specs for backlash would be from MB for the pinion to ring. I can't believe no one on the forum has installed this outside of a shop. I can measure my existing backlash but the rear is already noisy as is I don't think this is a good baseline.

I found a spec for an E55 calling for 0.10mm-0.16mm but don't know how that compares to the R170.
