Default Where or who to go to for v8 amg swap

Okay so December 21 I leave for boot camp then ship out around 4 months later while I'm gone or when I get back I'm wanting to swap my srt6 3.2 for a 5.5 supercharged amg engine, I live in Oklahoma and I was wondering who would be able to give me some ballpark estimates on prices and locations or shops that would be able to do it, I'm wanting a newer low mileage engine so any locations for one would help. And would I need a new tranny? as my srt has 113,000 right now. And if anyone would be interested in the srt6 3.2 I will have left over afterwards
Any information would help a lot! Thanks!

Off topic, but what part of Oklahoma do you live in? There's not many of us here in the Sooner state.

What you are proposing IS NOT an engine swap, it's much more extensive and about $25,000 including the cost of the 5.5. ECU must be programmed to recognize the new motor, + numerous other related issues. Rudycompart (his company: Speeddriven) in Illinois has done the swap for several other Forum members such as amx1397 (Jim). You'll have to deliver the car to his location for the work, he's the best for this type of swap.
Good Luck.....

Money won't be that big of an issue as I was just going to buy a new v8 muscle and sell my srt but after reading up a bit I figured I would get I much larger amount of power just putting that same amount of money into my srt but thanks for the advice! And letting me know where to go!

And another question, bang for the buck with my current engine mileage in mind (113,000) would it be better to just put a large amount of money into the v6 or swap it for the supercharged v8 and mod it also? I take it to the drag strip a bit so 1/4 mile time is the main reason for this, thanks again

Pm me your phone # and I will put u in touch with the people who can do what you ask,, To answer a few questions,, 1. you need engine ,tranny, ecu,and wiring harness each care cost different as to what you want it to do.
we can also change your rear gearing (two ways 1 use mercedes rear with your factory gear 3.07..change it to 327 or 346 with a new tcu needed.
you can ship your car to either Florida or Chicago,, Chicago being the best place. the big wait is to find a low mileage engine, after that 30 days ,,,done.
as a tib bit you could buy my car,, it has 31000 miles on the engine 600+ hp, as of 2015. runs 10.65 @ 132 OH yes it is the fastest crossfire in the world ,,,,
if i took your car in trade,it would cost less but if you want a 10 second street car asap then the cost is what it is insured for $35000.00 . On Oct 3&4 I had driven it to the tail of the dragon in N.C. and back. pm me and i will call you.
P S now there are 4,,were 5 by Rudy, but one totaled.
Rudy and J R the only two people to do the job right. My opinion jim

Just to clarify a few things here...

Rudy (
rcompart) does not own the company in Illinois called Speedriven
He did work there for a short time years ago but now he is employed by Mercedes Benz in the north suburbs of Chicago,

He is the expert on V8 swaps in our Crossfires but he is now married and has a child and I'm not even sure he has the time to take on these projects anymore

Work with Jim, AMX1397. He has the knowledge and the contacts to make it happen. Rudy's company is called Accelerated Industries. As Valk stated, he only worked for Speedriven for a short time. If I were in the need for speed and wanted a V-8, trading Jim for his would be the cheapest set up with the latest in improvements, for cooling, gearing, and transmission integrity. His has all the lastest of everything for going fast. And, it is the only one like it in the world along with being the fastest non-nitrous injected XF. Just sayin'....good luck and thanks for your service...
