Default Oil temp gauge

I would like to monitor my oil temp while driving, so since I can not get that info from the OBD II has anybody put in an oil temp sending unit? I have some old VDO gages and would just need to get the sending unit, is there a place on the engine to put one in?
Thanks
Dan

Default Re: Oil temp gauge

So while I am waiting on the pressure sender and fittings, I used the 12Mx1.5 VDO temp sender in the port on the front of the engine. Will drive it for a week and get a good idea on oil temps. Then add the Microlon metal treatment and see if the temps drop.
