Default Do we have cold air or hot air intakes?

I recently picked up a set of K&N air filters to add to my NA roadster so I’ve been reading about the air intake for our cars. I’ve seen photos of those that have added advertised “cold air” intakes. These look like solid metal intake tubes instead of the stock corrugated plastic tubes that bypass the air box and cone filters in the front. The actual intake area seems to be in the same general area as the stock tubes. So again my question.....is the stock setup considered cold air?

The stock airbox does bring in cold air from behind the grill and in front of the engine bay which should be considered "Cold Air Intake"
This is how I would perceive this
