Default Transmission harness connector leak

I had my 2005 SRT 6 into the mechanic for a transmission fluid leak. He said the leak is where the wires that control the transmission go into the transmission. He said there was a Chrysler service bulletin for this but Chrysler did not list a part number. Is there possibly a Mercedes part number for this? Has anyone heard of this problem and might know of a solution?

Also, does anyone know which Mercedes part number the entire transmission is? My thought is I might be able to get an exploded view of the transmission and then possibly get the Mercedes part number from the exploded view.

Thanks,
David

David,

NEESDWINGS.com, a contributing vendor here, can provide you with a replacement Mercedes-Benz electronic connector. I just replaced mine when I drained the trans and replaced the trans filter. Here's their package price which includes this electrical connector. NeedsWings Performance Products. 7226 Transmission Service kit

I'd give Needswings a call to see if he'll sell you just the plug. It is out there on fleabay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-be...PlFF:rk:7:pf:0

Regards,

I had this repair done a few months ago. I took it to a transmission shop with a print out of the service bulletin. They charged me $100 to repair the leak including the part. I think the part was $40 the rest was labor and shop supplies. I also had them do a transmission flush since I had it in there. Fluid is expensive ( about $28 per quart) I think I paid about $300 total.
i had no way to get under the car to do it myself so it worked out ok for me

I don't want to help revive an old thread but I bought 5 gallons of Pentosin ATF134 on RockAuto for $130.
