Engine, Exhaust, Transmission and DifferentialPost questions here that have to do with the engine, cooling system, air intake, exhaust, Transmission and Differential
Hey all, the bearings in my supercharger pulley got absolutely trashed. They were so jammed in that the shop couldn't get them out without damaging the pulley. While the bearings did get manage to be replaced, the small metal bits inside the pulley(see photo) were all destroyed. I have no idea what these are. The heat of the pulley trying to spin with bad bearings made them too brittle to survive the pounding required to remove the bearings, so they are all gone. I imagine they are important, but I cannot for the life of me find a replacement pulley. Any recommendations on how I should proceed? How important are they?
Alright, I was able to find another post with the same issue. I can see that the pulley is toast. Now I just need recommendations for a replacement. I would like a stock option, but an aftermarket one that doesn't require any additional modifications to the car for it to work would be ok too.
If anyone has any leads I would greatly appreciate it.
