You are not very good at explaining what you mean, either.
What is a vague shifter?
What is a vague shifter?
The shifter is not crisp. It is very useable but different than any manual shifter I have owned. TR6, Volvo242, even a Saab with four on the tree.
It is sloppy? Love the Crossfire, I am nitt-picking.
Thank you

OK, I get it. You are one of "them": "I love the car but want it to be like all other cars and it isn't, what do I do?"
I don't mean to be unwelcoming, but after thirteen years here and three Roadsters, and so many posts like this, my advice is sell the car now that the values are up and move on.
YOu'd love my Ford Ranger's shift, it is exactly what you want. You cannot compare the two.
And the complaints about the manual shift in our cars? Nothing new. There is no fix, and as engineers around me say (when I tell them I don't like how the radio they designed operates), "That is expected behavior". That is their polite way of telling you that you are wasting their time.

K, that was a bit rude. I am just researching to see if there is an updated fix for the gear shift throw that is a common complaint of people
who have a Crossfires. You can step down from your soapbox.

OK Pizzaguy... my first impression of this web thing was not good... As I stated, I am new here. Do not have a clue how to use it. Anyway, I would like opinions on a good car cover. Please do not tell me to sell my Crossfire because I do not have a three car heated garage...
I can be sarcastic too...
I am a newbie...just looking for information from people that obviously know more then I do.

I don't know what to tell you about a car cover. I had to keep my Graphite outside for almost three years. I bought one cover, can't remember from where. I think it cost around $150.
I was sorely disappointed. Seemed like the car got more dirty with it on there than without it. I suppose if I'd paid $400 maybe I'd be happier. As it was, I gave up. Totalled the car anyway so I guess it didn't matter after all.
You MIGHT try putting a thread HERE:

or HERE:

And call it "What car cover do I want?" or something like that.
We have a handful (or more) of members who use them. I've even heard of people storing their car for winter under a cover outdoors.

I have more cars than garage space. My coupe sits in my back driveway under a large tree. The problem is bird crap. I use a cover craft fitted cover and put a seal skin cover over that. The seal skin cover is weatherproof, goes all the way to the ground and can be hosed off. Would rather it was indoors but this combination works and protects quite well.
