Default New Purchase Maintenance

Still working on the finishing touches on my 06 I purchased just after Thanksgiving. I changed the brake and power steering fluid yesterday and am ready to flush the antifreeze as soon as the thermostat arrives next week. I also replaced the cabin filter and brushed the dirt out of the fan and housings. My cabin filter had been changed but I think only once. It had a Mercedes filter but it had a date code of 10/06 that's after the car was manufactured but only by 2 months. Guessing it was on the shelf for a while.

Manual transmissions and differentials are easier still. Do not stop until you do all of them. All fluids absorb moisture to one degree or another.

Hi there
I have changed the typical fluids on my 2006 UK crossfire, but not the power steering fluid. I am currently reviewing the best approach to use, any info you have would be appreciated.

You can check out this video on you tube. He changes the power steering reservoir as well in this video.

Many thanks.

Was it as easy as the video shows or did you hit any issues/problems or think "I should have done that first"?

I haven't done it yet. I don't think it will be hard to do. I'm going to do everything at once and I was waiting on some parts.
My list; Valve cover & breather gaskets, spark plugs & wires, replace the breather hoses, clean MAF sensor & replace gaskets, power steering fluid flush & replace reservoir.

Great advice ZERACER. I bought that, the flexible extension, and the swivel socket a while ago. I think they will be worth every penny!
