It's happened with valve cover bolts.
I found the valve cover screws loose when I fixed the leaking Crankcase Covers on my 2007 Coupe. Ever since I check the valve cover screws for tightness every 2-3 years as a PM task. Thus far, I've never had to replace the Valve Covers Gaskets for leakage.

I may have to check the oil pan screws based on what's been revealed in this thread.

I agree dedwards0323.
When I do more preventative maintenance this winter, I'm going to re-torque everything.

Looks like the oil pan bolts was the source for my slow leak ... torqued the pan bolts ... started the car several times and checked torque, no leaks ... drove car 20 minutes and checked torque, no leaks ... longer drives will confirm results but I feel good the pan bolts was the cause

Thanks to everyone for your help ... your time is appreciated

I hate to revive this thread, but after driving my Crossfire a few times this Spring I removed the shield under the engine to check things again ... wet oil spots on the inside of the shield in the same location as before, but not enough to drip on the floor ... checked torque on pan bolts and found some that took a slight turn before clicking

a couple years ago when I relaced the oil level sensor I used a FelPro gasket on the oil pan ... was the gasket wrong thing to use?

I am thinking I need to redo the pan seal ... I find different opinions on using a gasket or just gasket maker sealant ... I know the manual suggest Loctite 5900, which is not easy to come by for me ... looks like Loctite 598 is a good choice ... and what about a little Loctite 242 on the tips of the pan bolts to keep them tight?

If I drop the pan and redo the seal is it better to use gasket maker sealant (loctite 598) or use a physical gasket (paper or rubber)?
Most of my searches lean toward only using RTV ... steer me in the right direction

I think I got my answer ...

I had to bring this back to life one last time ... I want to say Thank you to all who tried to help and made suggestions ... especially those that mention the valve cover gaskets ...
I could not find a valve cover leak until I added dye to the oil and made my shop totally dark, except for the UV light ... that's when we found glowing dye around both valve covers ... if I had only listened to the voices of experience earlier
after replacing both valve cover gaskets and driving the car three days, the under shield appears to be dry ...
I do appreciate the help from everyone and learned to pay more attention to those that know what they know ... final fix was to replace the oil pan gasket and both valve cover gaskets and seal both breathers ... Thank you, Chuck
