Breather
My breather has a small oil leak, which results in an oil smell in the cabin on occasion.
Read threads about this, purchased some black RTV and some stainless steel bolts.
Removed the 4 bolts and tried to remove the breather. It is stuck. No amount of prying wanted to loosen it.
Any suggestions?
Otherwise I can live with the smell.
I bought 50 screws. Anyone wanting a pair let me know.

There are 5 screws in the breather covers. From the driver's point of view; Left side has 3 screws, right side has 2 screws.
Here's my post on when I did mine: LINK - Breather covers and valve covers. There are a lot of detailed pictures with descriptions in the post. Hopefully it helps.
BTW, don't use a metal wire brush to remove the old RTV. The breather covers are magnesium alloy. Once you break the coating on them, any water will make them decay.
Gasoline works well to remove the old silicone.

I had one like that too. It appeared to be fused on. I even resorted to using a pry bar. After it finally came off i couldn’t be sure it wasn’t bent.
Simple solution, this is a common MB Engine. I went to a local pick and pull. Located a donor car and bought the valve covers for both sides
I paid $40 for both
The breather came off the donor covers in less than a minute. You might want to look into this option
