Car stalled, but started 20min later
Hi All,
I hope everyone is doing well! I recently experienced an issue with my 06 Xfire (Auto). I was sitting at a red light coming back from the grocery store and my car all of the sudden dies. So, I shut it off then it would crank but would not start at all. I let it sit for about 20min while trying to figure out a towing situation. Then I tried to crank it one more time, lo and be hold the car ended up starting. I was able to drive it back home with a check engine light.
This all sounds like an issue with the CPS or RCM. I ran codes, and got a P200A (Component N15/3 t(ETC Control Module) Is faulty). that keeps coming on after clearing everything. This appears to be the throttle body having issues and I did notice after driving I put it in park, the RPM idles at around 1200 which is too high and noticeable.
Is this an issue with the CPS and throttle body? I know the throttle body issue has been there, but this seems like an issue with either CPS or RCM. With me being able to restart the car again after 20min is telling of signs of CPS. What are your guy's thoughts?

That's what I thought. Got one ordered from Amazon for $25 from official Bosch Store. What threw me off was the Throttle Body code that remained, but no signs of P0335 issue. The behavior is what I suspect it to be the CPS since it sat and cooled off then went on its merry way.
I had the same exact thing happen to me. Had to stop twice to get it home. No CEL. Changed the Crankshaft Position Senser, all has been good for several years.
Couldn't agree more, last summer stopped for gas, pulled out and car died. Crank but no start and no CEL. Suspected CPS, had a bottle of water with me, lifted the hood and poured water on the sensor, started right away. Got home and replaced CPS, yes Bosch spare in trunk. Car has been perfect since and ordered another spare sensor same day.. btw, I always carry a bottle of two of water in my trunk, never know when or why you might need it.
