Angry £210 Road tax for us then!

Just checked up on Mr. Brown's budget announcement and as I suspected the Crossfire is firmly in the top road fund license bracket. So £210 it is.

I guess that'll put a damper on any hopes DC still has of shifting more xfires here!

Are you sure?
I thought we would be £190 as it goes on axle weight as well.
Where can you check?

Thanks.

Norrie.

Sorry just checked.
If the emissions are over 226 you pay top tax the Crossfire is 250.
Bummer.

I don't see why, it is only a few quid more. In comparison to the cost of a new tyre for the XF (around £300 for 19" rear continental) the extra road tax is small fry. If you can't afford the higher road Tax then you can not afford the running cost of xf anyway, end of story.

Thanks Rob I stand corrected!

Checking again with the DVLA I assume you paid £190 because your car was registered before 23rd March 06. I still think for new Crossfires the charge is £210, as the emissions are listed in What Car as 256 g/kg, which puts it in Band G 'over 225' which is £210. See here:
