yes, all dealerships of chrysler supports your guaranty...(well that's what guy of chrysler told me) and about the fog rear light, my xfire already has it, i think yours too check it out... after you turn the light on pull twice...
You will need a rear fog light fitted. I guessing the only way to keep the rear end looking nice is to get one of the rare clusters converted to a UK one with the fog light in. Otherwise you will have to stick a third party on somewhere. The good news is you can leave your steering wheel on the wrong side. ;-)
I've bowled at Lakenheath a few years back. Lakenheath is in the county on Suffolk which is where Ipswich is.

Clive, I am also in the military but moving to Germany in a couple of months so I've already looked into similar problems. Of course, your unit's standing orders will be different to ours, but . . .
If you want to register the car in the UK, then you will have to submit your car to an "MoT Test" (that's Ministry of Transport). I don't know if you have to have this, or whether you can keep it on US registration - that will be down to your local standing orders at Lakenheath.
For the MoT, you will have to have the fog light fitted (on the right side, not the left) as you have already mentioned. You will also need new headlamp units - our orders do not allow us to use "beam benders" (plastic film that you attach to the outside of the headlamp to "bend the beam" (surprisingly enough!) to the left, rather than the right) - perhaps your orders allow you to use them.
You may also have to have the indicators changed to yellow - I think the US variants are red at the rear, right?
The best advice I can give you is to speak to someone who is already at Lakenheath and check on the registration rules there. If you need to register the car under UK rules, then feel free to e-mail me and I'll get some more info for you.
Alternatively, you can email the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency) and ask them for advice about importing a vehicle from the US. The address you would need is: vehicles.dvla@gtnet.gov.uk (that link should work).
Best of luck and enjoy your new job!
Regards,
Clive
