Default Glass Polishing?

Here's a question for you: Has anyone discovered a way to polish minor nicks & chips out of glass? I'd like to try and spiff-up my foglight lenses a bit.

i was pretty sure they're plastic. and i've tried using rubbing compound on a wheel and it worked great for the headlights; the fog lights are a little tight to get in there with the wheel.

at 40K (i have almost 38K now) i'm just going to buy new fog light assemblies.

Have you tried a plastic cleaner/conditioner and a Flitz wheel? But I think the Fog Light Lenses are glass...maybe a glass polish/conditioner and a Flitz wheel.

They are plastic. If they are really bad you can remove them and wet sand them with 1,000 grit paper step up to 2,000 and buff them with wool pad and compound.
Let me know if you need more specific info.

For glass Eastwood has a glass polishing kit with rodite powder. That works good as long as you can't feel the scratch with your fingernail.

Thanks for the info. I went out and looked at mine and they are most definitely glass. My car is a fairly-early '04, so I wonder if they changed over to glass later in the model year. Can you tell me more about the rodite power? You've got me curious now...
