I replaced mine with white led bulbs...looks like HID purple color...real nice. Bought them @ PEP Boys. I also put the same bulbs in the headlights when the parking lights are on, etc. Here's a pic of the interior. I will get one of the headlights tonight when its dark.

Has anyone replaced the one in the hatch? If so, where did you get the replacement. Thanks.

The cover has several retaining clips, you have to CAREFULLY pry it off by releasing the clips with a very thin flat screwdriver or something similar.

I turn my dome light off and rely on the purple cold cathode tubes I mounted under the dash.

I probably will look around for purple bulbs for the dome light itself, but I'm not in any hurry.

I will be adding a cold cathode tube to the hatch area as soon as I get another ballast for the extra I bought.

Lastly, I'm waiting on 1" Purple EL tape to replace the stock blue in a set of illuminated sill plates I bought. So that's going to be another thread when that arrives. (tutorial and pictures).

Cheers!

p.s. - (Yeah, the wife LOVES purple)

I put in soft green LED's throughout the interior and love the look at night. The glovebox and the trunk area take festoon bulbs. Be sure to measure them first (usually in millimeters) before ordering replacements; the two bulbs are different sizes, as I recall.

There are so many different wedge LED bulbs to choose from. Are some better then the other? I was thinking about going with the 6 led bulbs all around, or would those be too bright? Does anybody have a list of all the lights the crossfire uses and their numbers?

I put blue led's in mine. The front lights are 194 (2) the cargo is a 44 mm festoon. Got mine from: superlumination.com
They also have chrome turn signal bulbs and just about any other bulb you might want.

Dome = 194
Hatch = 44mm Feston
Glovebox = I know it's a feston. I'm not sure of the size.

According to the service manual and Sylvania's cross reference page.

The glove box and cargo festoon bulbs are the same model C2W in the service manual (sylvania 6418) which is a 44mm (1¾") Festoon bulb.

Another item of note: In the service manual it states that the instrument cluster is illuminated with bulbs. Specifically 12/2W 1K or 12/1.5W bulbs. I have not done the cross reference for these.

Here's the dump for the 2005 Crossfire from Sylvania's page

I originally followed the same chart and ended up with the wrong size for the glove box. The 44mm size did not fit at all, but the 36mm size fit perfectly. Perhaps DCX used different setups over time.

I ended up with a 39 mm do you think that will fit. Also, how do you get to the light in the glovebox. I took out a bunch of screw and it still won't come out.

The whole lens and button assembly pulls out the front, no screws, it is a little tricky but it does just snap out.
