Cool Flasher Control Unit

Can anyone tell me where the flasher control unit (the little plug in box) is located on our cars? Could not find it in the Service Manual PDF, unless I overlooked it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're going to love this, its part of the hazard switch. Mine went bad and they had to order me a new one.

Question Re: Flasher Control Unit

Any way I can turn off the seat belt alarm without disabling anything else?

~ you sure can...

to eliminate the chime and nothing else… you need to cut the single wire to the seat belt chime. this also will eliminate the seat belt symbol on the dash instrumentation.

you can access the wire from the back side of the seat (put seat all the way forward & up)... the long wire harness is clipped onto the back of the lower seat edge. undo the 2 clips that attach wire to the frame (no need to pull seat)... cut back the black plastic sheathing and expose brown wire... snip it and you are good to go.

no chime for me.

Thanks Rowdy...I installed LED turn signal, rear lights and back up bulbs and getting that pesky rapid flashing (as if the bulbs are out), I guess I will have order load resistors.

Yes exactly. You'll need to pretend a 21W bulb. That makes approximately 7O hm and 20 watt connected in parallel.

I just did it the easy way... pulled the belt behind the seat and permanently buckled it...
