Default LED Bulbs for the Glove Box, Trunk, Dome and License Plate lights

So I got replacement LED lights on the recommendation of the forums from http://superlumination.com/ but there are many different styles of 194 and feston bulbs.

This is what I recommend for each area:
Glove Box and License Plate lights: 36mm = 1-3/8" Long 4LED
Trunk: 44mm = 1-3/4" Long 9LED (I'm pretty sure the fetson 44mm Super High-Flux Leds dome bulb with the 2 LED's would work as well)
Dome Light: 194 Superstar Bulbs (I almost choose the 194 5LED Matrix Bulbs because i thought it would have better dispersion, but from the pictures it looked brighter.)

What color LED did you get? Any pics?

I plan to do the same w/ blue LED dome/cargo lights (I have a SSB SRT-6)...

I done the LED's in hyper white in the dome, hatch and license plate lights. They have a blue tint to them and they look real good on the aero blue. I also done the same to the clear side marker lights, (front & rear) and parking lights.

trunk is not 44mm... it is more like 39... I have done this as well and when I purchased the 44 it BARELY FIT and it stands crooked...

other than that I have done this as well in green to match the dash color...

Did you need any load resistors for the LEDs to prevent a "Lamp Out" indicator on the dash ?

I like the low power drain of the LEDs. I switched my little MagLight to LEDs and my batteries seem to last forever now...

No load resistors.

You should only need load resistors if you change exterior bulbs, such as the License plate marker lights.

Otherwise the "lamp out" indicator will stay lit.

Your car looks awesome! I want to do the same but in green. Do you know a good place to get the bulbs and also I want to get those pearl white HID headlight bulbs. Any recommendations?

Just a follow up that the above noted sizes worked fine on my 2005 SRT6 Coupe. Here is what I installed and paid for each bulb from
http://www.superbrightleds.com/
DOME: WLED-WHP Pure White High Power LED (one of many 194 replacement options) $4.95 x 2
GLOVE BOX: 3610-x4 LED 36mm Festoon White 3610-W4 , $2.84 x1
Boot/Trunk: 4410-x9 LED 44mm Festoon bulb Cool White 4410-CW9, $4.74 x1

SuperbrightLEDs charged $5.00 for shipping & handling so my total cost was $22.48

A few notes:

In the boot- I believe a 42mm Festoom would have fit fine (in fact I think that is what was in the fixture). And since 42mm Festoons are available in BRIGHTER styles I may change that out, but I'm going to give this one a try for awhile and see how I like it.

In the dome- The WLED-WHP Pure Whites are GREAT! Very bright, much nicer than the original bulbs.

Cheers

I used 44 mm for the cargo area and it was actually a little short. There must be a couple of different arrangements. Did you remove those little heat shield/reflectors from your dome fixture?

I re-installed the heat shield reflectors with the LED lamps. I think they help spread the light pattern out and make it a little more diffuse. But, it wasn't dark when I did it (today) so I haven't tried them both in and out to see which way I like better. If I remember I'll post my result after trying it BOTH ways.

Are resistors necessary for the License Plate lights? I have heard yes and no. Can someone post a "how to do" on the installation of resistors with the LEDS.

I ordered the LP and dome LEDs yesterday, and I ordered a resistor just in case (i dont know if i need 2) but it seems like the hardest part of wiring one in is finding a spot to put it. I guess it all comes down to the draw on the bulb. Being that the LP lights are in the hatch door, it may need to go more towards the fuse box. I didnt check yet, but if there is a fuse for the LP lights, ill put it right before the box.

For all interior lights, no issues and do not have to install resistors?

You may into some issues with flickering/failing LEDs down the road as a result of under/over voltage. You'll want to get a voltage regulator to install at every interior lamp location (as well as the license plate lamps if you're doing the exterior) to prevent this in the future. Visit this thread and read the part on the first post about the license plate lamps to find a link to a good regulator:
