Parking light bulb replacement help
My left front parking light bulb is out, (The one on the top left of the light cluster), and I don't see how to remove it without using a trained spider monkey! Do you have to remove the whole light assembly? My shop manual has no info on bulb replacement. Any help appreciated!
Oh, they are a pain.
I used a long hemostat and a pair of extra-long bent needle nose pliers.
Turn 90 degrees counter-clockwise and pull out.
I never got the full 90 degrees on the re-install. Maybe 75 degrees.
The shop manual says to remove the whole lamp cluster. Quite a bit more involved.

I uses a 10 mm combination wrench. I put the open end on the bulb holder and turned it with a screwdriver in the boxed end

Thanks for all the info. The first bulb I replaced I had taken out the lamp assy. Pain in the butt! This one - a 9 mm open end and a little Vaseline. 10 minutes!
Thank you THANK YOU for this (and the other thread about easy replacement of this bulb)… Mine's been out for a year and I WAS NOT taking the whole front end of the car apart to replace.... kind of sucked though because my dash 'light out' indicator has been on the whole time so the only way I knew if another light was out was if I could get behind or in front an old truck with a chrome bumper and check them
(not kidding).
Heading to the auto parts store at lunch to pick up a bulb! You guys are the best! Now if I could get my TPS indicator to turn off it might not actually look like from my dash that my car is about to stop running... that's a project for another day.

Thanks Onehundred80, I may bribe my 6'/300lb hubby into the tight fit of trying the TPS fix (Mr. wears a size 56 suit jacket so even turning the shoulders sideways elicits profanity when in my car)... or... I may get brave and give it a whirl myself if I'm feeling particularly lucky... seems easy enough; however, if it involves anything interior, the Big Guy protests
… he's game for anything under the hood but inside is a bit cramped... it's hysterical seeing him ride in it if he has to.. he literally rolls out the passenger side and takes a knee to get up along with a few choice words about my car... Very dramatic but entertaining.
Spray a little wd- 40 or liquid wrench on the backside of the bulb where the base touches the metal it makes it easier getting it out
