Does the wing touch the deck lid?
I need to know the (space) measurements are between the Roadster's wing and the trunk lid, when the wing is down. In other words if I were to close the wing (put it down) with a piece of notebook paper between it and the trunk lid I am confident there would be enough room/space for the paper without damaging the wing or the trunk lid.
Conversely if I put the wing down with 200 pieces of notebook paper between it wouldn't close and could even damage the wing.
So my question is how would I find out what are the tolerances between the trunk lid and the wing. Are there any "pockets of space" where the distance between the two metal surfaces (the trunk lid and the wing) is different (more in one place than others). Thanks

Ann- Try placing something the thickness you want in the position you want that will give (like a sponge or piece of foam) and place something on the surface of the sponge that will leave a mark (like grease) and close the wing. If you leave a mark on the opposing surface you know that you don't have enough clearance.
I supplied the parts for this project, but I'll never tell. Ann came up with a really cool mod if she can make it work. Hopefully she will have it completed for Woodward.
