Caught a lot of cops too!

I was a bad boy back then.

The 348 was a good motor for Chevrolet, Three Deuces made them even better.

Fast cars, and beautiful women...A simpler time in many ways.

Yep!

We bought it as a burn out to flip in 1976. Painted it green and moved in. We have been remodeling it ever since.

Same house, same girl, kinda wish I still had the T-bird.

It was a 1960 Impala SS. Came with Tri-power, but I also had dual Quad AFB's and a 3/4 race cam with solid lifters. Spent more time tuning and adjusting than driving the damm thing.

One day a gas jockey joked that I should shut the engine off because I was gaining on him. He wasn't far wrong. So I went to a single Quad.

It was still bad.

I hate to say it but any girl that would be offended by a non nude pretty pic of a woman is insecure about themselves. There's no reason it should be so offensive or a threat

Wow!!! That is one rare car. It just doesn't get more rare than one of zero. The SS wasn't released till 1961. I'm not callin you a liar so don't get upset. Sometimes memories get a little foggy. Or maybe the SS badges were added later. I've seen that done on that year before. Either way it was a pretty rare, highly desirable car. When I was younger I had a black 1959 ElCamino and a 1964 Impala SS convertible. It was white with beige. With the 327 4sd.

I've already been challenged on it before. No big deal. A Lot of stuff was done by the dealers back then so some pedigrees are questionable. IE portholes on 55 Tbirds. All were done by the dealers and some 55's had em. Purists dispute it. Who cares.

409 SS came out in 61. My brother had one.

1960 348 Impalas, SS or not, were rare and a good ragtop one goes for $35K to $60K these days.

I was just a kid who's girlfriend was tired of pushing it to get it started when I sold it for $600.

Yep, what kinda idiot customizes their cars like that? Oh wait. Thats me.
Theres a guy I know in town that has a restored 1962 Bel Air bubbletop. Red, red interior. 409, dual 4bbl, four speed. Course he also has a 61 vette, 283 fuel injected 4sp car. It's a driver, not perfect, but clean. But that little 409 car is perfect.
