3M Headlight Lens Restoration Kit
I am Absolutely 100% satisfied with this product!
I didn't get the drivers side perfect (Still MUCH better! - 1st try) but the passenger side is Awesome! I'm sure I could have gotten them better, in fact, I know I can.
I HIGHLY recommend this product for anyone wanting to get rid of their foggy/hazy headlights!

I smell another weekend project
.....getting the bug itch again with this car...thought I would have gotten rid of that with the Stang!
I agree with HowardJ - the results from the kit are excellent. The hardest part was going at my headlights with sandpaper and making them have the clarity of milk jugs
(the first step of the process). But take heart, they do come out looking like new in the end.
A word of warning - plan on investing several hours worth of work if you want a perfect finish. Now I just use Plastx every few weeks to keep them shiny and clear.
I got the kit I used at Autozone for about $20.

I purchased the kit on Amazon. They also have it at Advance Auto Parts.
My headlights looked horrible before hand (worse than HowardJ's) and the final results were amazing. They look brand new now.
Make sure you get some painters tape and put a couple layers of tape around the perimeter of the lamps. You don't want to scuff the paint.

Hi James, I saw your car at the Fernbank show. What a day ! I drove my CF and was blown away at the caes. I was looking at your headlights anb they are very nice, I saw the miss but they look good. I did the CRC kit on mine but after 2 hours of fussing the plastis was so so. Will do the 3M. Of note I got all the Karmann badges and decals and looking for the best location. I am looking for another CF .Mine has 14,000 . I will try to make a cruse. Rig
I got my kit at Autozone for $23 and some change.
It was over by the paint, there was a whole rack with 3M everything.
It only took me about 25 minutes per light; As you can see, It could/should have been longer.
I just used some scotch tape laying around - worried, but did it in the garage instead of the sun. No gooey or anything left, worked perfect.
But this stuff is A++ if you have foggy headlights

Its a nice kit but here is an insiders tip from a guy I know that does this for dealerships. 3m p400 and p800 and sand the lenses down, clean them off, and then spray them with clear coat...they look brand new and have some additional protection that can be maintained easily.
I had the foggy hazy headlights. They felt rough and crackled. I found the 3M Headlight restoration kit and they look like new now. This was for the outside though, not inside.
Not bad for $20 kit and 2 hours of time. Pickup up kit at Autozone but saw it at Walmart too.
Here's a link to the kit and video by 3M: Restoring a Headlight 3M
Here's some before and after photos. The overcast day put a grainy look to the after shots but they're shiny and way better than before!

The 3M kit is fantastic! It does take some time to get a great finish however it is worth it. I picked my kit up from Walmart for less than 20 bucks. I will try to upload so pictures over the long weekend.
Anybody figure out a way to clean the inside clear part of the headlight? I have waterspots from some condensation I had in there. driving me nuts not being able to clean it! Any sugguestions?
