Default Question for those of you with Black-out headlights

Have you had any problems with cops? I called my friend who is a detective and she told me that any revisions on OEM lights is considered illegal. BUT she also classified it as the same thing as a modded muffler or too dark tinting and loud audio systems. I actually already bought the stuff to do it, but im not too sure it will be worth the risk (especially since I will be going on a road trip to Atlanta this weekend)

I would think most officers would do nothing, but it can be used as a reason to stop u and check you out.

I think a lot of this is misinformation. It is thought to be illegal therefore it must be illegal.

Before doing mine I checked all the California regulations and could not find anything that said you could not do it. I have had mine tinted for more than 3 years with no problems.

Actually just had them sprayed professionally after removing the film. I found it virtually impossible to get rid of all of the bubbles with the film. When the bubbles were gone, I wound up with areas that had an orange peel texture in spots. BTW I used a high quality 3M film.
