Outside mirror switch replacement, any help

As I was driving my wifes car to work today I found that the switch for the outside mirror was not functioning - has anyone replaced before? Jim Sawyer, it is a 2005 roadster

Before you go down that path have you verified that there isnt a fuse for that?

Don't know where you live, but could the mirrors be frozen?

Well to answer the questions posed:
Nope not frozen car only comes out of heated garage and then put back

The switch feels broken

Checked fuse and all is well in fuse land

instead of posting a new thread, i would like to bump this recent thread.

My mirror switch is broken off and gone. I just bought the switch but do not know how to replace it. any step by step instructions? pics would be fantastic! If no pics, I will make sure to do a pictured step by step instructions while doing mine. Thank you in advance.
