Bulb Out Warning with no lights on??
Please help. I got in the car yesterday and when I started it, the bulb out warning came on. Problem is I had no lights on. What bulb is it talking about if I hadn't even touched the brakes or turned on the lights?
You might want to turn on the lights ,walk around the car and see if one of the running lights are out also turn on the signal lights ,make sure all are working ......
Good hunting also notice you have HIDS check the wiring you may need resistors or have a ballast acting up...

The warning light works only with ignition on and after you turn your lights on, I had a license plate light bulb intermintently breaking connection { the filliment }, I would open and close the deck lid and the warning light would go off, and the light would work again, but the warning light coming on just starting the car, I would say it is your HID system.
thanks all - i think i found it. looks like i have a brake light out. had to back into a parking space at a mirrored glass building to see it.
FYI, my hid kit did not need the resistor. I did have a HID bulb failure and the light came on but went back off when the bulb was replaced. I also had a license plate bulb go out on me. Both the plate and HID only displayed the bulb out warning when the lights were turned on. This one confused me since it came on immediately without even hitting the brakes.

Theoretically, it could do a dedicated continuity test without using enough current to light up the lights (much like a multimeter). But I'm with 180, that seems a bit too complicated for even the Crossfire
