Personally, I think the price is great and this is probably the last time these hoods will be produced. I've also never seen a used Carbon Fiber hood go for 749 + shipping.
Depending on shipping, count me in!

okay we are at 10 people I just need to confirm with everyone that they have the money ready.

If there is anyone else that is interested, this would be perfect time to join the list. If someone is on the facebook group, could you please contact the OP of the thread in Classifieds Section? And maybe check if there are any other interested parties?

Thanks! Super Excited to get this hood!!!!

I am working on figuring out all the details. I'm actually not the person that contact him, so I will have to figure out how to go about it after I make sure everyone has the down payment ready. To top it all off, I'm leaving the country to get engaged at the end of the week.

You all may want to red through the old threads and check out some details. I know shipping on my hood was nearly $400 plus the fact that a good percentage of them were damaged in shipping. I am not trying to rain on the parade, but the hood also will require readjusting your fenders, adding some pins, if you plan on going over about 70.

I had the hood on and took the car to the Dragon and it seemed like it was going to fly off the car, shaking around and vibrating madly at speed. Once I added pins, it was no problem, but drilling through my brand new CF hood was a very nerve wracking job. By the time I was done with everything, including putting a decent spay of clear on the hood because it was so thin, I was nearly $2k into it. Don't get me wrong, it looks great, but people thinking this is going to get done in the $900 range I think are probably pretty far off. Just my $0.02

I believe the hood pins discussion has already been discussed in the for sale thread. And I already knew it would need to cleared or painted or wrapped etc.

I do appreciate your input but I want this hood! Thanks for being honest.

Do we have any pictures of the hood? Is it functional to be used on the supercharger?

Functional ? Yeah.. it still covers the engine? Vented and OEM style shown.

So it's vented to let hot air out of the engine bay not to force air into the supercharger. Basically for looks? Not that that's bad!

My oem style carbon fiber hood still looks is nice as the one pictured! I only used it one year and never mounted the wings because I don't have the nerve to drill holes in it for the hood pins. I just have it hanging on the wall looking pretty! Oh and my engine bay temps were lower with the hood on my car compared to the steel factory hood

Hey, came on board late to this. Is there still a way to get one of these Carbon-fiber hoods? Does anyone know how much weight it saves?

Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately, by the time we reach ten people, some have already lost interest and/or the funds.

I know there are definitely at least 3-4 people who are still interested. I had a thread in for sale section, you can contact other interested members and try to get to 10 people again. I would suggest asking the the facebook group too. If everyone is patient it shouldn't an issue.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you will likely never see one of these hoods. If you are serious and want to spend $1500+ contact the guy doing the group buy and see how many are still interested.
