Default Need HID recommendation

Hey all, I'm looking for community recommendations on quality HID kits (4300-5000 temp).
I realize that this is a fairly saturated topic, but I can't cross-reference old threads for recommendations, as most the links are dead now. I've heard good things about McCulloch kits, and i may go that route, but I'm looking for a solid kit in the $60 arena. Any recommendations are much appreciated!

paid 100 for my 5K McCulloch Hid Kit. Lights up the road and gives me plenty of lighting in front of me. Solid kit.

Read through the threads, even though the links to do work, the info is still there.

I would do what almost every member here has done and buy a cheap (40-60) kit from ebay. I have had mine for well over a year and they are still solid as the day I installed. You can go for a pricier kit, but from what all of us on here have experienced, the kits are generally the same....

pdmtuning.com is the best place I've found for HIDs so far

Unless you get ABSOLUTE name brand (i.e McCullouch), all of your 'HID' kits will be the same China made kits with different stickers.

That being said, I paid around ~$75 for my kit about 2-3 years ago, and besides changing the bulbs (to get different temperatures, settled on 4300k for pure white), nothing has been wrong with them.

Well guys, I got a solid set of HID's in and working on the install right now. Everything is going great except I can't get the blasted Radiator fluid level connector to disconnect, despite my best efforts to release it. >.< any ideas?

You have to pinch the sides together and pull firmly. It is quite a chore to pull off. Very tight.

Well just finished the job and it looks tremendous. I ended up having to go hulk on the connector because the release tabs wouldn't open all the way like they should.

Seems like it should be easy but was hard for me lol. Alternatively, everyone complains about the retention clips on the bulbs being difficult to work with if removed, but I found it much easier with my HID set to just remove the clips right away instead of having to feed the wires and grommet through.

Just my thoughts on the project, thanks for the input guys.
