HOW TO replace headlight bulb. Pictured step by step instructions
Hey good buddy....you say you made the mistake of removing the clip....me too...and you say you were never able to get it back in ....so what did you do to fix it ?? thanks for helping regards Ron Yorston
I'm a new xfire owner recently purchased a 2006 roadster limited. Car is clean with only 35,500 miles and looks and runs great. My only problem is the passenger side low beam head light. Previous owner lost spring clip. Anyone know where I can get one without buying an entire light assembly? Chrysler and Mercedes have been no help. Trying junk yards next.

If I were you I might remove one of the other springs and either make one yourself or have a shop make one. They are not complicated devices, and it should be easy ro replicate, provised you get the appropriate wire

Hi! This was great, but my light is different. I am a complete noob, but I think the previous owner put in a custom light, and the connection at the bottom of my bulb doesn't look like it comes apart the same way. I'm adding some pics (I think). Can anyone tell me if it's okay to try to yank this apart?
Not a problem at all..
Now I have a question for the members.. If.. like in your case.. you don't have a clue whether your running 6000K .. 5000K .. etc. how would you know what to replace with? Granted they come in pairs so not like one white eye and blue eye syndrom... but if you wanted to keep what you had? I got the 6000K and they actually are bluer than what I originally anticipated..

I remember I removed the silver silver clip when changing the head light bulb on my gti and it took me 1hr to get it back on , you say you won't be able to but really you could it will just make an easy job 100x harder
It's better to use the 'QUOTE' feature otherwise the answer sometimes is no answer at all.
Replaced the brake light bulb last night ,and 2 hours later passenger side head light went out...coincidence? Maybe but I am gonna swap bulbs in about 10 minutes
The srt doesn't have any special requirements to get at lights. It's just tricky. I just replaced my whole headlight assembly (after buying one off of someone from this board called 'bluecoupe' <--and thanks again to him) and I didn't have to remove the grill so doing that to replace a bulb is completely unnecessary.
