HOW TO replace headlight bulb. Pictured step by step instructions
Hi all,
I just got a 2005 Crossfire a few weeks ago. This forum is fantastic!
My low beams were only projecting a few feet in front of the car. Yep, the low beam bulbs were not seated correctly. I followed the advice here and was careful with the clip and I got both bulbs aligned and seated.
My driver side bulb was off by about 45 degrees. The passenger side bulb was 180 degrees off.
Thanks everyone for all these great posts.

I have them, they are universal.
usually $10 each incl shipping in US.
I'll have to check rate to Canada, don't wish to lose money on them.
IM me with your address and I'll reply with my paypal info.

Thanks a million Musclefan21 - I'd never have figured this out without the pics and tips.Installed 2 headlamps today without a hitch.....but not without a few swear words. It's a tight job! One question- pretty sure that I seated the bulbs correctly- but is it the case that the drivers side and passenger side bulbs seat differently? Seems they were 180 degree opposite.

Why would they do that? All the bulbs are the same, the housings are the same. It doesn't make sense. But it wouldn't surprise me.
Musclefan mentioned not being able to put the spring back after taking it out rather than lifting it up out of the way. Here is a view of the spring and its mounting points.
Just put one end in place and flex the spring enough to insert the other end.
Yeah I know, easier said than done, use needle nose pliers and a mirror, if you are nervous about it springing away tie a thin piece of string or thread to it and tie the other end down.

You mentioned that here is a view of it, but I didn't see any pics. When I tried to replace one of my 2006 Low-Beams, the spring clip fell out, and either went down in the Headlamp assembly or got stuck under engine compartment. Do you know where to get replacement spring-clip, and if you can refer me to the pics of putting it back on would be most appreciative. Thanks.
You can get this spring clip. CLICK
or this one. CLICK

If you look at my sig line you can see a link to a large post, look up ‘lights’ and see where you can buy the clip.

Hey! This photo looks like it is reversed. The markings on the base of the bulb look backward to me. You must have taken it with a mirror!!! Clever fellow!
But, in any case, it's a great photo and sure helped me.
I'm just commenting because this morning, I thought I would replace my low beam bulbs in a few minutes and then that !@#$% clip came loose on the passenger side. I honestly didn't think I could get it back into place. You're working blind with one hand to slip the spring back into the little supports.
Thanks onehundred80.....

I don't know if this conversation is still active in any way but I thought I would reach out. I changed the low beam bulb with little trouble but I can't get it to stay burning? Like the base of the bulb grounds to the housing or something? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for any help.

.
has anyone added an H7 LED? Not sure if the retaining spring will ever work with the big cooling fan on the rear of the bulb housing?
What do you do if the clip came loose? I can’t see where to reattach it. I got a feeling I will have to remove the lens to get to the place where they fit.
Not a big deal, do you have the clip? As long as you still have the clip, and it’s not lost it can be installed anytime. I have got a small hand guy at auto parts store to do mine a few times.
