Got invited this weekend to help with a 302 HO trike build.. "after I spend an hour or so finishing getting this lip mounted" was my reply.. 60+ degree forecast finally!
And revisiting my photos.. thinking trimming those ends inside the fender with a slope from fender to edge would make for a cleaner look.

Road test is tomorrow on the way to work ( I'm that confident in it). Couple other pictures are added in the gallery. The v notch is probably something you will want to do otherwise that flange wants to buckle a small amount - nothing major just saying.. Also closed the distance to 1" from the body line instead of 1 1/4". You might want to play with this area on your own install. I would have to say the bracket on the bottom is the key factor to the install. With little contact area for the tape this bracket seems to really support and stabalize everything. It's primer only coated for now, figure I'll run it that way for a few weeks to give it a chance to "flake off" if it's going to before doing a finish coat.

It's not plug and play install - but it's not a major mod to get it mounted.

Ya know, sometimes easy (plug & play) is nice. But there is no better feeling than taking on a challenge, crankin up that grey matter and accomplishing what you set out to do...thanx for your help

Just a "footnote" to go with the v notch and bracket. A small c-clamp was used when I position the bracket and pulled the v closed to drill the holes. It's not it's "natural" state. I grabbed some stove bolts off the shelf, but will probably swap them out for some "lower profile" phillips screws with a large washer type head on them. Avoid the wrestling match and install the bolts (4) while you have it clamped and drilled. I actually used the Kitchen cabinets on the floor (they make a 90 degree turn) to push the v shut. Two people to holding the ends with you positioning and clamping the bracket will work fine too..

Final update..
Sustained run of 80+ mph for 10 minutes with a burst to 100mph.. still where I stuck it on!
One thing.. isn't there a buffeting effect when one window is down..? Got so used to it I don't remember
specifics of it.. but at 60 mph window halfway and all the way down I didn't have it.

Re: $5 Dollar Front Lip
Well, I finally got my lip mounted. Like I said before it cost me more than $5 though. I did not paint it yet and my just leave it the natural flat black. I did it a little different than some of the others. I cut the " V" at the center and installed with 4 screws, One on each side of the center line and another about 1 foot or so from the center line to the left and right. I attached with the 3M tape, in three lenghts on each side. I attached the ends at the fender well with Two self tapping screws on eack side. I'll try driving around for a while until I see if I like it or not. Also got my dash overlay done in Titanium Burl. Looks good, made a couple of minor mistakes, but I like it.

Looks good.. I've actually noticed a few extra long looks at mine lately.. LOL. Wonder if you could get away with a polish/wax on it?
I've actually found the Chrysler "bone white" duplicolor at Autozone matches so close to the Alabaster it will make your teeth hurt.. Just have to pay the price for my hurry up job of priming and do some sand and re-prime work now.
