Damn My Hood Is Sexy...
She is always smiling
Orlando, the vents are fully functional. I bought the vented hood off a group buy here and I had my shop add the mesh to the vents. Complete night and day with and without the mesh vents.

Man! Mrmiata needs to set up another grupo buy again, but instead buy that awesome hood!! U think a shop could install something like that??
LOL.. I'm afraid a tune is more popular and affordable for most.
And there actually is a group by "under way" if you want to look at it that way.
"Reportedly" the hood shakes at highway speeds.. have you by chance had your shop look into additional bracing on it?

Miata, I dont have any issues with visible shaking, but my shop did add some reinforcement to the hood.
Orlando, get in on the group buy if u can. I was lucky to get one from MadMax. The hood changes the car completely.
Boiler, he had a nice car!

Orlando..
Seems there are maybe 5 who could put together the required cash deposit on them and 10 are needed. Myself I can't justify the cost vrs weight savings and or "new look".
I'd have to go radical to spend that much on a hood myself..
photoshop playing around...

Huh, my hood doesn't shake(and hasn't in the 4 years since I designed/built it)...............probably because it's the original properly built hood and not a half azz imitation by somebody else.
LOL... SRT6 only though.. you advertise like that you probably ought to have the ponies to back it up..
my hood (OEM style carbon fiber) does shake at highway speeds, but I don't have the heart to drill holes through it for pins
I think the carbon fiber, even on the OEM style, sets off the car nicely

definitely a worthwhile purchase as far as I'm concerned (plus I had to buy it when I did or I'd never have the option later since it doesn't look like they're ever going to be reproduced)

Last Summeer I installed a pair of 1975-1978 toyota hood vents in my hood. Painted to match the car. They are functional, with rain trays under the hood to divert the rain water. Can someone tell me how to post Pics on here. I would love to share,
Dave
