I would go through this thread for all the people that said they were in and also see if you can figure out how many people bought the fiberglass ones from eBay to get an idea of the market size.

PM'd you back

Im still on board for the targeted price (about the range John mentioned). The plastic of our bumper covers should give enough to accomodate the slight variations one might encounter.

Is the manufacturer talking making these 100% CF or doing them out of fiberglass with a CF overlay? Just curious, probably doesnt matter either way.

The people who bought the headers, strakes, skirts, etc could probably use that caulk you are talking about

Nothing was helping those strakes :P I'd sell my plastic set of diffusers for the CF ones if they turn out perfect. Don't know if I would put anything down again though without a sample and a looooot of high quality pics on off around etc. I got 2 lumps of plastic with shitty *** paint to show for the last 300 or so dollars I have put down. Anyone want to buy my spot in the BEGI list so I can get these? :P

Yeah, I've read those sickening threads to..

This guy is located in Corpus Christi, and I do believe we have members close enough to confirm quality and fit when produced..
Being from a mold it's not like a 20 pc run and you get what you get.. He's a supplier on the vette forum and I haven't seen any complaints. Much like this forum (same owners) if your pawning junk and ripping members off your gone.

Plain and simple I have no dog in this hunt, just trying to put something together for everyone. If no one else cares, or only a couple do, we can let it die right here. I'm leaning at looking at this as a FORUM MEMBER effort myself. With a little effort from a couple volunteers I really think we could end up with a quality part.

I think this would be moderate difficulty to make in carbon. Probably a 2 or 3 piece mold. How many people are still interested and at what price point. I think the $300 mark would be the approximate price for this type of part in carbon. I am not familiar with the crossfire so I don't know how big of market this would be.
Thanks,
Brandon
That is a good price but he says $300 for a part like that, there are two parts required. I hope that does not make it $600.

$700 for a fairly complex corvette projector headlight replacement system.. my money is on "a set".. I directed him to this thread so he knows they are in pairs.. I would like to get a member lined up from the area to volunteer a little time for the final mold fitment test though..

So is this where it's going to sit? Tell this vendor 5 sets please? I'm just short on this by 1 test fit car and a decent sized commitment to purchase by you guys.. We make it happen now or everyone pack a lunch and wait for the next train to come through. At this close and this price, failure to finish out will close the book for me on the matter and we can go back to the "where can I find them" threads.

I haven't checked this thread in .... a long time. Still on the list I see, so I'll reconfirm my interest for you.

It honestly might be worth starting a new thread with a tentative vendor in the title... right now, when people see this thread pop up, they think everyone is just bickering back and forth

Great Idea John..
I'll get it on my to do list for this evening. I just don't see telling him I've got 5 committed to purchase as anything he's going to get excited about. I'm about 90% sure once they are done and done right with pics that he won't end up selling 20-25 sets over the next few months.. but we both know "hey I'll betcha" ain't going to get him too excited.. LOL.

Noticed we've got about 3 members on the Texas registry there.

Okay folks.. working out some final details with the vendor for this. I had stated Corpus Christi area based on a phone number look up... Via emails its actually Jacksonville FL.

So I'll ask again any local members to the area who could/would be a part of the fitting up on these?
