In a word - yes.
The stock grille is held in with clips. The GenX needs a couple of holes drilling for the sides.

Or some springs and a little engineering with some rods instead of new holes..

That is the best one to buy, it is well made. None of the others look anywhere near as good, especially that mesh grille with the wide band around it.
If I was going to change the grille that would be my choice.
These mesh grilles look best when everything behind it is painted black or you can see it.

Personally, I like this one: CLICK Looks to be well made and has a more robust design & bolder look than the one that uses smaller stock. Vendor has the matching inserts for the bottom grills. CLICK

I dislike the look of them and everyone says they scratch the paint really badly.
They say it is made from a stainless steel billet, if it was it would weigh a ton. It is made from tubing so it is not a billet. These people use the word billet as if it was a super thing to have, at best billet is a solid section of a metal generally but it could be wood.
Somehow these remind me of the threads on escalators.

I like the look of the one I referenced, but scratching the paint would be a "show stopper" for me.

Thanks onehundred80 and dedwards0323, I have managed to break the passenger side clip and it is holding on for dear life now by the 2 inserts and the other side driver's clip. It is also getting fragile and cannot see myself paying over $250 for a new/used oem grille. So looking at possibilities. If I go with the link I mentioned above I will eventually have to change the two lower pieces.
