Default Passenger Reverse Light Lit with Headlights

Just noticed tonight that if I have the parking lights or headlights on, the passenger reverse light is dimly lit. I upgraded to all LEDs in the headlights last year, but I doubt that has anything to do with it. Any ideas?

I'm thinking it might have something to do with it (leds).
That's my guess.

The only thing common between the two could be the ground circuits. Check and tighten all grounds pertaining to the rear lighting area.

Check the obvious first: G301 ground

Oh God, I may need a bit more instruction on the ground tightening--totally new concept for me.

With LEDs maybe a very small current in the circuit will light the LED a little but not a regular incandescent bulb. This has occurred before here.

Yep.. made note of this last Valentines.. had a 25w cement resistor handy that I tied in at the passenger side and resolved the issue. 5W would probably work.

Oh.. and if I recall correctly.. drop a regular bulb in there.. and the drivers side will then light up.. LOL

Also recently added led's to the overheads and have noticed they blip with the drivers window switch.. passenger window doesn't do it..

Does anyone know where I can buy resistors similar to these with the quick connectors? The only website I can find them on is sold out.

I ran into that problem a long time ago with having every single bulb on the car inside/out converted to LEDs. The circuit has a small amount of power on it when the car is on and headlights are on, for whatever reason. The LEDs pick up on this tiny spike in power and turn on since they are very sensitive. Just do what Greg said, and get a 10watt or so resistor put on the passenger side reverse light. superbrightleds.com will have the resistors your need.

Better yet, here's something that won't require any splicing whatsoever.

Would these cancel out the hyper flash on the turn signals? If so would you need 2 or 4?

Turn signals are 7507 type sockets, with the 150 degree opposed pins, which those would not fit. But yes, I use the 7507 version in my rear turn signals which are now red LEDs brighter than the stock 7507 bulbs.

Can you describe what exactly you have in your rear turn signals? (Pictures, if possible) I want red, I want quality, and I don't want to hack up wiring with resistors just to put LEDs in. I hacked up some red painted bulbs (altered the offset pins) but I don't want to alter factory wiring.
