Front Indicator not working.
Hi guys,
Well after 3.5 years of ownership of my Coupe I am still enjoying the car & hope to keep it for many years.
One thing has become a problem though & I was hoping somebody on here could help please.
Basically my drivers side front indicator has stopped working (the one situated with in front lights) & I have tested the bulb & it works fine. Can somebody point me in the direction of where this would be earthed as I think this would obviously need checking or is there something else I should be checking?
Many thanks.

If you inspect the two contact points on the outside of holder, and the one's in the headlight and see no physical damage, try cleaning them with a pencil eraser.
If the holder contacts are arched/damaged, you can sometimes repair that with a little extra solder.

Thanks for the replies guys. The contacts on both parts have been checked & cleaned up but still not working. In fact, the contacts look in really good condition.
Having all of Easter off work this will give me 4 days to get to the bottom of this annoying problem. I hate it when people stare at me because they think that I am not indicating to turn right!
Just a quick update. Got the indicator working again by slightly bending up the contact on the housing where the bulb connects to. The contacts with in the headlight look burnt so not sure how long this fix will last as obviously something not right.
I have had a similar fix working for about 3 months now. No indication of failure yet, dreading having to change that bulb now though.
Not sure on prices over there for new headlight but over here they are about £600.
In this case the maker is Valeo and this problem has come up before, so using Valeo and turn signal in the Google search we get posts on the problem. I know that a Valeo part was found, if it actually worked in the end I cannot remember.
I found this part (CLICK) but someone said it did not fit even though it was the same part number. Compare the photo to your part.

Just throw a $ on that figure and you've about got it. It's all good tho, I think I can fix it when it finally goes kaput. Also polished the lenses yesterday and they look almost new. Any recommendations on a good protective film?
Thank you for this info, very useful.
What people forget is that parts like this were not made by Chrysler or Mercedes, they were made by a company that specializes in parts like this. So you try to get the part another way, the part has a number on it and the manufacturers name.

How did you get to the connectors inside the headlight assembly? I can't seem to be able to get a good look inside where the socket connects to the headlight assembly.
Thank you.
