Default Respray

Hi Guys, I am getting some work done on my SRT-6, it's a 2006 model in Black. Does anybody know the colour code for the silver windscreen bar trims and 3 side bars on each side? I am looking to to get the rear spoiler sprayed in the same colour to match the trims. Also was there just the one black colour used on all crossfires? I'll need this code also.
Many thanks
Simon

I did this 3 years ago and until now, have not run into another one. I think that you will like it, I know that I do. Good luck!

Yeah, as your car is grey the spoiler doesn't show up much especially with the angle of your photos.

Yeah 2006 SRT-6 , I've had her 7 years now and decided to bite the bullet and get her paintwork dings and wheels sorted. Not cheap it's going to cost £2k, but hopefully should be worth it. I contemplated part exchanging her but the deals were rubbish and as she's only done 42k miles the engine has plenty of life in her. I Will keep her for another 4 years I expect now, I've never tired of driving her, just concerned that I'll have to deal with more and more mechanical and electrical problems as she ages. Already replaced, Crankshaft sensor, Alternator & Battery this year...

I understand where you're coming from but with proper care it could go many years. As for the CPS, I'm not convinced that they need replacing, just a squirt of contact cleaner on both ends of the plug m ight do it. There are no moving parts and no contact points, just the plug. I suggest that we might start trying the cleaner and document our results. I might be wrong but it would be nice to know! I'm hoping for a total repaint, maybe I can get the wing to stand out a little bit, haven't figured that out yet.

I had to do a double take, I first thought it was a Crossfire with the boot lid up! What were they thinking, that really is very very bad...

I'm in the process of painting my windshield trim now. I have the PPG brand "omni" XZA paint and have used it twice now on the trim at different air pressure setting and have had the same result. It looks different than the original paint on the trim. The color is the same but it seems to have larger metal flakes in it and thus appears different than the original. I actually like it better. The thing is while I was at the paint store I wanted to get a "harder" paint to help withstand the wind, dirt bugs etc that get bounced off that windshield trim. The counter person said the one stage urethane is harder than the base coat/clear coat combo so I bought the single stag ( two liquids you blend together: the paint and then an activator ratio was 4 oz paint to 1 oz activator). You then spray that on and it glosses over and looks real good, but it is different looking than the original. Something to be aware of when selecting paints.
I did the door handles also.

BTW....in other countries, you can have a 2006, that isn't a 2006...just sayin'....although it could actually be a 2006 as a few were built... Only the VIN will tell you the truth...

Here are the numbers of Crossfires built over the years, some 8,800 odd were built in 2006.
