When I was in the Corporate world, I had to play golf. I hated the game.
I came from poverty and always got every ounce of value out of anything for which I had paid. I never understood taking as few shots as possible for an expensive walk around the park, as a worthwhile endeavor.
I learned, in that same said Corporate world, to target the most profit for the least costs. Yet here we all were blowing money literally to the wind. Between the cost of equipment, ***** lost in the woods, and green fees, I couldn't relate to it's productive value. We could have been back at the office generating revenues.
These guys would brag about how they wasted every fairway with as few shots as possible. I always went for 10 strokes and got my money's worth.
Never understood that game.
