Default Memorial Day '07 - time to remember what it's all about

Guys and Gals,
I hope you all have a great weekend and fun with family and friends. This holiday is often just often seen as the kick off to summer, and for most of our lives that's just fine. But now and again, we really need to remember what the day is all about. Clearly, the loss of a son by one of our own, touched many of us deeply, as have the countless stories that many of us have heard recounted by friends and neighbors with sons and daughters who gave their lives in war.

I don't care what your politics are about the war - remembrance of those who served, and gave of themselves in life and limp, should be remembered and honored this weekend. It only requires a few moments of your time.

God bless you Chris.

Senna

I agree with you 100%. I personally can tell you that I've always taken this day as such. A prayer for all of those who gave their lives for our country. Politics has nothing to do with remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

God bless them all. Enjoy the holiday.

Take time out to honor a serviceman, past, or present, and especially those who selflessly gave there lives so that we can have the life we have.

To all, have a safe holiday and enjoy our Country, America.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend...

I would like to ask everyone to take a moment or two out of their busy holiday schedule, and remember
what this holiday represents. And, to give thanks to those that have given the ultimate sacrifice for their
country over the years. It’s because of them that we continue to enjoy all that we have.

Thanks, have a great holiday weekend, and be safe...

My Wife and I attended a service yesterday at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. That's where my Father-in-law (a WW II Veteran) was laid to rest in Dec. of 2005, at the age of 85.
All the Branches of the service were represented their, and there were several hundred people in attendance.
I just want to say thank you to all Veterans everywhere. We can never repay you for everything that you have done for our country, but we will be forever grateful as we continue to live our lives in freedom.

I am a little late with this but I was looking for a quote to share with you, it is from England's Prime Minister Tony Blair, when asked about why he believes so much in America, he said...

"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in and how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you"

1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G.I.

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Our veterans deserve our Thanks...
