pops out of first gear

Default pops out of first gear

I have a 2004 with 35000 miles and it occasionally pops out of first gear. It will do this 10 times in a single day and then be fine for 3 months. please help

That was a "problem" that would have been covered under your 3 year, 36k warranty.

I am the 2nd owner and the warranty is not transferable

That's why I said "would have" been covered. Chances are, the original owner probably experienced the same problem and never pursued it. Or the dealer ignored it.
I think you can get "history" of your car from the dealer. It might be interesting to see if the tranny problem was ever mentioned in the past. (Not that it would do ya any good). I believe there was a "TSB" listed for the problem.

Hey im guessing thats your car is automatic. Well i had the same problem with my srt. There is a bolt up near the passanger side cat that was leaking tranny fluid. I brought it to chrysler 4 times and they never fixed it they would just fill it up again and again and it would be fine for a short period of time. So i decided to screw chrysler and went to mercedes. At first they were like wtf were not going to work on that. I had to prove to them that the crossfire was a hidden merc. So after that they fixed it. I did have to pay for it but at least i know i dont have to worry about it any more.
