Airline Question
I have heard of airlines giving a discount for travel to a funeral (like charging the got-the-ticket-three-weeks-in-advance price for a trip the next day).
Does anyone know if this would apply to a "death bed" trip? Do these programs even exist any more?

Its called a bereavment discount. Airlines have become a real PITA so they might not offer it anymore. If they do you will usually have to provide some kind of proof like a death certificate.
FINALLY got thru to someone....
1/2 off the fare, I can leave tomorrow. So, the $889 fare is now $471.
They need only the name of the person in the hospital and name of hospital.
But they INSIST on a saturday night stay. I wanted to come back thursday or friday so I can go to the Dragon.
