Any interested party has my permission to download, store, backup anything I have contributed to the site for use on any other site for our use. Granted it's only a tiny, tiny bit of the vast info on this site but it's a start.

Julians phone number, address are easily found via google. I'm not sayin' google it but I'm just sayin'.

Should Julian offer to sell the info contained on this site to US count me in as a contributor towards the sale.

I have less than 1/2 dozen visits to the CiCC site. My home is here with you guys!

I'm in total agreement there pal.

I honestly prefer it here in the cheap seats myself.

Best bunch of friends are always out in the bleachers where the real fun is for sure.

If you build it they will come. Let the new site be strictly Cars no political crap just cars.

May I ask why some folks have a hard time with other folks really liking some portions of the forum? Seriously, if you didn't click on it then to you it wouldn't be there. Wouldn't exist at all. The discussions don't get spilled over into any other area, so for those who just wan't cars, nothing but cars, then take off the jokes, take off pics of anything but the cars, take off all those threads that only briefly mention the car, since the vast majority of the topic must be about something else.

To me this is a community, and in a community we have lots of topics to discuss, some more interesting to some than others, and that's the way I really like it. Sooner or later, when I have the opportunity to meet in person other members, I will know them as people, not as just a rather one dimensional character, such as "oh, you're the guy who really knows the inner workings of the starter solenoid, I've really appreciated that aspect of you".

So I appeal to those who don't like the political threads to ignore them, then they would not exist to you, and therefore you get what you want and that aspect is done. That makes sense to me.

As a quick example, as the owner of an NA, I don't look at the threads about supercharging or lowering, adding NOS etc, because I have no interest in it, and to me, the whole topic doesn't exist, no matter WHAT goes on in that thread.

Thanks guys, and I just want to say how much I've appreciated everybody's input, whether it be cars, politics or jokes. Mark

You could ummmm.. shanghi the decent threads from this pile of posts... and move them over to the new post.

Really Brian? Where is the decency of posting a click-through here in this thread?

Exactly Mark. We are a community and should talk about anything we wish.

The forum is like a cafeteria. Load up on what you like. Pass on what you don't.

I would like to say that I have liked this forum for over three years now, I came to this site for all the valuable information, and the brain power of fellow xfire owners, which has helped a great deal when trying to find out what is wrong with someones elses xfire, or mine. Heck just the help with all the dealers that DO NOT know our cars as well as we do, is priceless, So saying that I would like to keep following this group, where ever it goes, since I do plan on keeping my SRT6 for awhile, and still would want access to some sort of site , for information, the jokes, the photos, ETC, ETC, ETC,

For the record folks - CICCI is a car club .org is not. The reason there are fee's is we do events, Carlisle, Dragon etc. We want to do a lot more and as time goes by that will be the case. We also had start up fee's, website, software licensing legal etc. the events we participate in are open to all, members or not. I don't know of anyone who has been turned away from our Dragon Barbecues for instance because they were not a member of CICCI.
CICCI does not own the content on .org. period. We never said we would??? We wanted another site with back up infomation should .org go down. We do have a technical area on the CICCI forum but it is no where near the wealth of info that is stored here on .org.
Julian owns this site. Is it for sale? Don't know, everyone seems to want to buy it. He obviously doesn't want to sell it right now.
Someone mentioned administrators........we do what we can with the tools we have and right now that ain't much. Admins that are reachable? We are all "reachable" by pm, e-mail. Julian is the only one who is hard to reach. Please understand he has tied our hands here as well. If we could fix the problems we would have a long time ago. We very much understand the frustration here. CICCI's forum is not set up the same way. The same issues that affect this forum can not, will not affect that forum. Membership, uploading photos have been broken since early December. I know for a fact that Julian is aware of these issues and he chooses not to fix them so far. The very lifeblood of a web site is "new members". Sorry I don't get it?
I know some of you resent, hate, whatever, CICCI. I respect your opinion, some people just don't like the idea of belonging to a club, some think we are an evil organization trying to take over the world with lasers and **** probes. Sorry that's not the case. We don't have the time, the money or the will to do that. We just want to be a car club, simple as that and our forum is our club house. If you are a member and you don't post there, don't show an interest in the club then why is that any different then what is going on here? A lack of interest from a certain person here and you all see where its gotten us?

A political thread in a car forum isn't like a cafeteria. Unless it's a cafeteria combined with a horse barn.

You're right, there are many people on here that are reachable and very quick to respond.

We already have admins, mods, super-mods, etc... they do a great job of helping to steer the car, but none have the keys to it.

That is why I headed off my statement the way I did... We all need to do our part to contact him, it shouldn't just fall on the hands of FP, Andrew, and Gary.

I guarantee if Julian's number was distributed to other trusted members that would be cordial but direct, after about three dozen calls, he would respond in some fashion. Debt collectors don't simply call once and forget about you; instead, they ring your freaking phone off the hook. If he tries to sue us for harassment, we'll countersue for misappropriation of funds.

Julian has a debt to us. Sure, he owns the site, but every contributing member has a stake in the site. If he loves the miserly income this site generates and refuses to hand over the keys, he should fully refund our contributions. Otherwise, I believe it is only right and just that we have a say.

Even a mistreated girlfriend normally has a key to the house if she's getting screwed. We're getting the shaft and can't even get a return phonecall, much less a spare key. As a result, we're out in the cold.

We need to rectify this.

Post Julian's contact info... email, phone, etc.

I'll contact him on myspace if his account is still active, he added me roughly a year or two ago.

Persistence will pay off. He'll either throw a tantrum or throw us the keys. But he WILL respond. And I dare say he will calculate that it isn't worth the BS or his time, and he'll allow us an avenue to acquire the site.

IF all that fails, then we have a task on our hands. Copy all stickies, all TSB's, all how-to's, any data we can get our hands on.

Julian might own the site, but we own the data... after all, we're the author of the book he is hosting. Once the data is copied and moved elsewhere, let's have our admins/moderators delete chunks of the site and render it useless. If Julian plays hardball and insists on keeping a site he refuses to nurture, we'll make it so destitute that it won't generate a dime.

If he plays nicely, we won't have to do any of this. I really hope this will be the case.

Just because you don't know how to use a knife, doesn't mean that everyone else has to leave steak off the menu.

There are some of us that truly enjoy that section, for all of the reasons previously listed in this thread (specifically in mcdaniel's post). Not sure how you missed 'em.

I love it, because it proves that the human race is indeed a fickle thing. After all, the "evil rich capitalist pig republicans" AND the democrats that are allegedly "for the little guy" both somehow find the same amount of disposable cash available to purchase such an impractical, 'look at me' type of car that we all own. Apparently we're not all that different after all...

Either the evil capitalists aren't as rich as the democrats allude to, or the socialists aren't nearly as dirt-poor and downtrodden as they claim to be, while playing the violin. Priorities come into play in that equation at some point, I'm sure. Were it not for the political side of this forum, we'd never notice that little snack for thought.

I don't know that we own the data. That's one of the big problems here. Yes you may own the data you post but there are hundreds, thousands of other posts that each of us doesn't own that make up the threads. I would have to defer your request for Julian's info to one of the other moderators, I don't have it, never had. I was set up strictly to help on the CICCI portion of the forum.
By the way this "car" has power steering, it doesn't seem to work without the damn keys!

Given what I'm up against, I do just fine. I just feel it has no place here. But maybe your right. I always wanted to learn about Muslims. Can we get a middle east section? Or a religious section. Heck, that one you would like I'm sure. So why not?

Any of you who want to contact Julian about the problems with this site, www.whois.com is a good resource for acquiring his contact info.

Just sayin'.

Haha... Don't tempt me, I'm game for that any day.

Nothing to be ashamed of here. It's an honor and a privilege to share the Gospel.

Bless you, my friend.
