Probably the local cable provider. Who you have depends on where you live. No choices on cable provider here for the most part. My choice was Brighthouse or I guess I could have gone with .... Brighthouse. I'm not sure how it is in Sweden.

Hmm okay. But we are only looking at buying the internetconnection. Cable tv will be unnecessary. So what, brifhthouse has a monopoly? Pompano beach. What about AT&T? Any more? In Sweden it cost 70$ a month for 100mbit. Download and 10mbit upload. US beat that?

Pompano Beach has Comcast for cable. I did a quick lookup for you on prices. Their fastest internet package is $99.95/month for 50Mbit down/ 10Mbit upload. The next package slower is $62.95/month for 30Mbit, uploads up to 7Mbit. The packages get cheaper and slower from there. Note on the prices they are " for customers that currently subscribe to Comcast Cable or Comcast Digital Voice service." Their website doesn't list prices for just internet.

That area of FL does also have AT&T. I think they offer DSL for internet.

Okay, but thats the thing. We are not going to be there to watch television. Do you have to have cable? Are there no channels for free? We only need the internet... What is the best solution there? We are after a medium fast internet, prefferably that you can have each month, maybe skip on month and so forth...

Hope you all are fine. Lots of SRT6 in FL area?

I don't know if the same deal is available in FL, but here in north Texas, AT&T is running an internet only special for only $15/month. You do not have to have land line phone service either. It's for new AT&T customers only.

Cheapest is the public library on the north side of Atlantic a few blocks west of Federal, it's free. Also City Hall on Atlantic @ S. Cypress has WiFi as do most public gov buildings. McDonalds @ Federal and Atlantic has WiFi too.
