What happened to Mike-in-Orange?
Mike hasn't logged in since October 16th. He's our Meguiar's Surface Care Specialist.
I hope all is well with you Mike!
I hope all is well with you Mike!
I'm still alive and kicking!!
Work has been beyond busy - my day job is running Meguiar's own forum (Meguiar's Online - shameless plug, yes!!) but lately I've been getting involved in a lot more projects. A lot.
We launched a whole slew of new products at SEMA back in November, and it was the run up to that event that pulled me offline for the last couple weeks of October. I then got involved in doing product demos for some of our major retailers (Advance Auto, Autozone, Amazon.com, Pepboys, etc) and I'm now doing a series of seminars at all the Barrett-Jackson Auctions around the country. Beyond that, we launched a Spanish language forum so I was tasked with training our admin for that site in how to be an admin, basically. Also had to train him to do our detailing classes, which he'll be taking over for the Spanish speaking community. On top of that I'm now also working closely with our Marketing Dept and R&D as new products are developed and tested, and I'm now one of six people in the company that is authorized to have direct media contact - one of two who will do so with regard to product specifics, training, etc. So that gets me in front of various magazines, websites, etc when they want to do articles on car care.
I then started 2011 with an email on New Year's Day asking if I could fill in for our guy who was supposed to work with Ford Motor Company at CES in Vegas - that week! So I was off to Vegas for the first week of the year (but got to meet, talk with and get my picture taken with Alan Mulally, Ford CEO) to prep and maintain a handful of Fords for the show. Then home for a week, then off to Scottsdale for the first Barrett-Jackson Auction of the year. And things never really settled down after that!
So, yeah, I've been a tiny bit busy. But I still have the Crossfire, still love the Crossfire, and will probably always have the Crossfire.
I'll try not to be such a stranger any more though! And thanks for asking about me!

Glad to hear it Mike....sorry though, I switched to
Meguiar's
for just about everything when treating the Crossfire. So I guess I'm part blame for your work. Still have some of this and that to use up on the wife's car.
Since the Rocky Mountain Group is hosting the CAA this year, I hope you can take a vacation, yes I said vacation and make it to Colorado, along with others from there.

Mike, welcome back. Glad to know that you're climbing the career ladder at Mequiar's. I knew you would. Congrats and just know that your contributions here are always appreciated.
Good to hear that things are going well for you Mike. I can appreciate what you are going through. My job has gotten extremely busy this year with new contracts and customers. We are expanding faster than I can find qualified software engineers right now. My division manager told me that we would be drinking from a fire hose this year...... I just did not expect to be in the deep end of the pool at the same time. LOL It is good to be busy though.
