Amg
In terms of performance and a TON of shared parts, sure. But in all sincerity, the SRT is not an AMG.
Both the SRT and the limited share components with other older AMG cars... you simply have to look in different places.
The Limited bucket seats, for instance, are the exact same ones found in the SLK32... they're just upholstered differently. Peel the leather back and you'll find the ///AMG logo
To wit, having common seats doesn't make the Limited an AMG. The same can be said for the SRT, despite having borrowed many components. The Pagani Zonda uses the 7.3 AMG engine, but it's not sold as an AMG, it's sold as a Pagani. And known as one.
Hope this helps.

As far as I have learned..... YES. The only thing thats marked with a AMG part identification on the N/A cars, are the rubber muffler hangars. Go figure .......
EDIT: well OK .... so the backs of the leather coverings of the seats also .... LMAO

As for the OP, DEFINITELY do not put AMG badges on your Limited, unless you're okay with a fair bit of flaming from other enthusiasts. I can barely excuse them on the SRT-6 cars, who have the drivetrain to begin with.
I personally have been very careful not to have Mercedes Stars all over the outside (wheels, badges, etc) simply because it's not worth spending 5 minutes per each person that asks "why?"... The engine cover I have is a testemonial to the car's heritage (and a performance mod(ish)) and the only time it is seen is at car shows. Then, you have a captive audience and folks are more willing to take an extra look. And even then, there's a lot of 'splaining to do. 50% of folks think I did a motor swap
But to a passerby in traffic, I want them to look at my car and wonder "what is it?" instead of look at an 'up-branding' badge and ask "what's wrong with his head".
There are those among us that live by "less is more".
There are those among us that live by "more is more".
One strives for subtlety, the other strives to make the car something it isn't.
My personal opinion.
Americans are used to the same old logos...Chevy, GMC, Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, etc....while Europeans know there are companies that contract out a lot of their work. AMG is part of the Benz chain as we all know, and supply engines, tranny, etc to the Benz marketed cars for the most part. Our cars were built by Karmann, who also have built other types, and brands of car until they closed. There are a lot more combinations of parts and parts of cars among European countries than there are in the states. Ford doesn't supply parts for Chevy for the most part, but may share the same alternator, or ignition. So is your car an AMG? NO....but it has many AMG components. It is a Chrysler Crossfire period. Doesn't mean you can't display Karmann, or AMG powered, no more than a muscle car can dispay JEGS, Hooker, etc...
Some people like the emblems, some like a clean look, each to their own in this case...we just all love the cars...

Kompressor (for the SRT gang), 320, and other Mercedes-sourced emblems are a delightful throwback to the heritage of our cars, and the only real downside to installing them is the fact that they're a waxing obstacle.
I, too, will soon have an 'upgrade' on the car that includes the AMG logo, and there's not much of a way to easily get rid of it, despite my 'ruthers....
Stay tuned

It looks even better than the mock up photo! I will have to see it in person soon. When you coming to Canada? or am I going to make a trip over to the surrounding Buffalo area?

I think pretty much everything that makes a SLK32 an AMG and not a SLK320 is on the SRT. Don't forget that AMG is just a dept. within Mercedes now. If you think about what makes an SRT out of Dodges, Chryslers and Jeeps, The SRT6 is a rebadged AMG. Is there another car that came with all the good AMG stuff including the engine without saying AMG on it? Very unique if you ask me. Isn't fun having a true basturd car?
