I spoke to my new boss tonight and I'm on cloud nine. 
Fortunately the VP of sales, whom I share a lot in common with (high performance cars), promoted me to protect me from further cutbacks. I'm now out from under my oppressive ex-boss and happy as can be. "I'll drink to that", tonight!.
